MSU Board adopts appropriation request, calls on state government leaders to narrow funding gap

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State University Board of Trustees, in a 2003-04 appropriation request adopted today, called for the State of Michigan to renew the partnership it shares with the public universities, to narrow the gap in per-student appropriations support and to address capital outlay priorities.
The request describes the university's success in holding down tuition rates, containing costs, providing one of the best undergraduate educations in the nation, advancing knowledge through research and transforming lives through statewide outreach activities.
