MSU board approves medical college acting dean

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Marsha Rappley has been appointed acting dean of the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.

The appointment, effective immediately, was approved by the MSU Board of Trustees at its Sept. 16 meeting.

A 1984 graduate of the College of Human Medicine, Rappley joined the faculty in 1988. She has served the college in a number of capacities, including interim chairperson of the Department of Pediatrics and Human Development and, most recently, as associate dean for academic affairs.

A practicing physician, Rappley is recognized nationally for her expertise in problems of learning and behavior in children, especially those with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
