EAST LANSING, Mich. — The Michigan State University Board of Trustees addressed a number of issues at its Dec. 10 meeting, including the appointment of Denise Maybank as interim vice president for student affairs and services.

Maybank, who has served as senior associate vice president for student affairs and services since 2008, succeeds Lee June.

Following are other items the board addressed.

The board approved an authorization to proceed on the Case Hall renovation project. The project includes complete renovation of the existing dining area, improvement to lobby and reception areas, and life and fire safety code upgrades.

The sale of approximately 1.4 acres of the Saginaw Valley Research and Extension Center property was approved. The land is located in Tuscola County’s Denmark Township.
