Six MSU students recognized
for academic achievement

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Six Michigan State University
students were honored for academic achievement by the MSU
Board of Trustees at the board's Dec. 5 meeting.
The six students are all December graduates.
The Board of Trustees awards are granted at each commencement
to students having the highest scholastic averages at the
close of their last semester in attendance.
The recipients of the awards are:

Olivia M. Hobbick of Jackson, an engineering arts major
in the College of Engineering. She is the daughter of Jack
and Tonya Hobbick and is a 1999 graduate of Jackson High
School. Her MSU grade point average is 3.9871.

Joshua Boehme of East Lansing, a mathematics major in the
College of Natural Science and a member of the Honors College.
He is the son of Scott and Martha Boehme and is a 2001 graduate
of East Lansing High School. His MSU grade point average
is 3.9861.

Zoe E. Waxman of South Haven, a supply chain management
major in The Eli Broad College of Business. She is the daughter
of Sheldon and Katherine Waxman and is a 1999 graduate of
South Haven High School. Her MSU grade point average is 3.9813.

Amy L. Rabe of Haslett, an instrumental music education
major in the College of Arts and Letters and a member of
the Honors College. She is the daughter of Dale and Mary
Rabe of Juneau, Ala., and is a 1998 graduate of Haslett High
School. Her MSU grade point average is 3.9809.

Shane P. Singh of Rochester, a political science/pre-law
major in the College of Social Science. He is the son of
Paul and Patricia Singh and is a 1999 graduate of Rochester
Adams High School. His MSU grade point average is 3.97.

Matthew C. Pikos of Troy, an accounting major in The Eli
Broad College of Business. He is the son of Stan and Linda
Pikos and is a 1999 graduate of Troy Athens High School in
Troy. His MSU grade point average is 3.95.
