MSU Board of Trustees recognizes 15 students for academic achievements

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Fifteen Michigan State University students
were honored today for their academic achievements by the MSU Board of
Trustees.
The 15 students, all May graduates, achieved a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
The Board of Trustees awards are granted at each commencement to
students having the highest scholastic averages at the close of their
last semester in attendance.
The award recipients are:
- Timothy W. Bodnar of Plymouth, a human biology major in the College
of Natural Science. He is a member of the Honors College, and is the
son of Tim and Adrienne Bodnar. He is a 2000 graduate of Salem High
School.
- Aimee C. Brooks of Flint, a zoology major in the College of
Natural Science. She is a member of the Honors College, and is the
daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Brooks. She is a 2000 graduate of
Powers Catholic High School.
- Westley S. Evans of Three Rivers, a computer engineering major
in the College of Engineering. He is the son of Timothy Evans and
Victoria Stanton, both of Portage. He is a 2000 graduate of Three
Rivers High School.
- Matthew J. Griffin of Auburn Hills, a philosophy major in the
College of Arts and Letters. He is the son of Mary Griffin, and
attended Avondale Senior High School and Oakland Community College.
- Tracy L. Kamikawa of Honolulu, a biosystems engineering major
in the College of Engineering. She is a member of the Honors College,
and is the daughter of Ray and Virginia Kamikawa, and is a 2000
graduate of the Iolani School in Honolulu.
- Allyson A. Miller of West Bloomfield, a humanities/prelaw
major in the College of Arts and Letters. She is a member of the Honors
College, and is the daughter of Martin and Patricia Miller. She is a
2001 graduate of Southfield Christian High School.
- Dustin G. Nowacek of Troy, a physiology major in the Lyman
Briggs School of Science in the College of Natural Science. He is a
member of the Honors College, and is the son of John and Terri Malott
of Troy and Greg Nowacek of Sterling Heights. He is a 2000 graduate of
Troy High School.
- Daniel C. Peltier of Newberry, a microbiology major in the
College of Natural Science. He is a member of the Honors College, and
is the son of Bill and Trudy Peltier. He is a 2000 graduate of Newberry
High School.
- Allison M. Quist of Eaton Rapids, a political science major in
the College of Social Science. She is a member of the Honors College,
and is the daughter of Colt and Carla Payne of Eaton Rapids. She is a
2000 graduate of Eaton Rapids High School.
- Nancy F. Rayel of Kalamazoo, a psychology major with a
specialization in health and humanities in the College of Social
Science. She is a member of the Honors College, and is the daughter of
Howard Hoffman and Paulette Rayel of Kalamazoo. She is a 2000 graduate
of Portage Central High School.
- Katherine D. Sheline of Grand Blanc, a microbiology major in
the College of Natural Science. She is a member of the Honors College,
and is the daughter of Matt and Ilene Sheline. She is a 2000 graduate
of Grand Blanc Community School.
- Adam J. VanderBee of St. Joseph, a marketing major in The Eli
Broad College of Business. He is the son of Mark and Sue VanderBee, and
is a 2000 graduate of Lakeshore High School.
- Ann E. Victory of Byron Center, a physiology major in the
Lyman Briggs School of Science in the College of Natural Science. She
is a member of the MSU Honors College, and is the daughter of Jim and
Betty Victory. She is a 2001 graduate of Byron Center Senior High
School.
- Michael A. Wilson of Ortonville, a psychology major in the
College of Social Science. He is a member of the Honors College, and is
the son of Lane and Sandra Wilson. He is a 2000 graduate of Brandon
High School.
- Daniel J. Wood of Macomb, a biochemistry major in the Lyman
Briggs School of Science in the College of Natural Science. He is a
member of the Honors College, and is the son of Edward and Susan Wood.
He is a 2000 graduate of Dakota High School.
