In 2022 Michigan voters elected Dennis Denno to the Board of Trustees at Michigan State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in 1992. He also earned a master’s degree from the University of Michigan in 1994.
In his first two years as a Trustee, he chaired the MSU Presidential Search Committee—the largest and most diverse presidential search committee in MSU history. That committee proudly recommended Dr. Kevin Guskiewicz to be MSU’s 22nd President.
In 2004, Denno founded his own company, which focuses on nationwide polling; Denno also spent 17 years in the Michigan legislature, working as a senior staffer for legislators from Detroit and Flint.
Denno is currently an Investigative Analyst for the Flint Police Department Cold Case Homicide Unit; he previously spent over seven years as a civilian researcher for the Lansing Police Department Cold Case Homicide Unit.
Dennis enjoys traveling with his wife, reading, visiting state capitals, hiking, and he has also completed 24 half marathons.
