Statement on re-establishing assistance fund

Feb. 15, 2019

The Board of Trustees has been working diligently the past two months on how best to support survivors and their families in their healing process. We know many survivors and family members are in need right now of mental health and counseling services. It is our plan to re-establish the fund that was frozen last summer, under the original parameters initially set forth. We will provide details on those parameters and information on how to submit for reimbursement on a website in the coming days.

The board has met with survivors and their families and consulted with the Relationship Violence and Sexual Misconduct Expert Advisory Workgroup on this topic, and we will continue our work on this issue to support those who need help.

For those who continued to receive mental health services after the fund was frozen, we will provide reimbursement under the same parameters as originally established. We hope and encourage all those who need mental health support to utilize this fund and support.
